Partnerships at scale
800+ partners, every route to the customer
Most of the work in emerging markets happens through partners. Over the years I have developed more than 800 retail, wholesale and distribution partners across the region, including key distribution and manufacturing partnerships.
The channel spans every route to the customer: distributors, manufacturing partners, wholesale and trading houses, dealers and modern trade, e-commerce partners and direct-to-consumer projects. Partnerships last when terms are fair and both sides grow together.
In 2017 I led a delegation of Pakistani dealers to Panasonic's Okayama factory in Japan.

Sourcing & factory counterparts
Working with the factories behind the brands
Every product I sold started in a factory. The brands I worked for manufactured across Asia, so for over two decades I have worked closely with sourcing and factory counterparts in Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
That work connects the market to the production line: sharing what customers and partners need, planning ranges and volumes, and making sure the right products reach each market on time.

Case study · over a decade
Continuous market growth in emerging markets
- Markets
- GCC, Levant, Iraq, Yemen, Pakistan, Afghanistan and East Africa, plus trading accounts in the CIS and Singapore
- Base
- Dubai, the regional hub
- Channels
- Distributors, dealers, re-export traders and modern retail
For more than a decade I led commercial growth across some of the world's most varied markets, from Gulf trading hubs and Levant distributors to dealer networks in Pakistan, partners across East Africa, and trading accounts in the CIS and Singapore. Each market needed its own route to the customer; the constant was building partner networks that kept growing year after year.

Leading localisation projects in the Middle East
- Products
- Air conditioners (2020), Smart LED TVs (2025)
- Model
- Local manufacturing with a regional partner
Localisation means more than moving an assembly line. Each project connected factory readiness with the commercial model: which products, which channels and which price points the market would support, and how a locally built range would reach retail.
